Since I'm in the middle of the Halloween 31 For 31 project for October, I'm just going to have the following and not go into more detail about last month. If I can say one small thing however, it's that if its possible for someone like Michael Bay, whether you think the film is good or not, to bring their A-game and try something drastic from usual like with Pain & Gain, cinema is far from dead. There's too many well regarded films from many regions to actually see and, considering a lot of the film critics who make that statement can have to cram five films within a single day, maybe more, and force themselves through films they know are going to be bad instead of picky, it may prove to be better if all of us ordinary people take our time, ignore these proclamations, soak in a film by itself, limit one's film viewing time and take a chance on the least expected things. By the end of the day, this obsession of many of cinema is only about our idiosyncratic tastes and grandstanding about a death of something can come off as being the mad person on the street wailing about the end of the world just for attention.
